Can-do Committee of Parents

The Parents’ Committee is a dynamic and friendly group of parents, carers and teachers, who give generously of their time and talents, to build on the family feel of The Minster School York. They work together to fundraise and organise social events for the whole school and wider community, such as the ever-popular traditional summer fete on our delightful green space opposite York Minster. 

Another highlight is the early September barbecue to welcome new pupils and parents to the school family, and to catch up after the summer break. Other popular events include Harry Potter and Christmas discos, Easter hunts, and parents’ Quiz & Curry nights. Recent fundraising has included school-branded hessian bags, umbrellas and Christmas cards.

We actively encourage all parents to get involved, whether it is working as a barbeque chef, running a fete stall or dressing as Moaning Myrtle.
