The Minster School is the only prep school  in York that is not tied to another senior school. It is the “independent independent”. You may not know when your child is four or five years old where you want them to go when they are 13 and so you will want an exceptional education that prepares them for a range of tomorrows, providing the opportunity for scholarship in all areas. Uniquely in York,  The Minster School offers you freedom of choice and time to decide. As a small school we will know your child well enough to help and advise you with the next step to senior school. We encourage and support children through the admissions process, so that whether they do a school’s own entrance exam, Common Entrance exam, or go for an interview or scholarship, they are very well prepared. We provide a purposeful and positive education with high aspirations and expectations for all.
